Annual Trail Challenge

A mini-version of a competitive trail ride, managed by Alanna Sommer.

- You must bring your horse’s current negative Coggins papers to participate in trail rides.
- Please RSVP with the Trail Boss listed.
- Dates are subject to change so please check with the trail boss listed prior to each ride.
- All rides are subject to being postponed, moved, cancelled, or otherwise changed.
Please call at least 24 hours before the ride.
The organization’s
last two Trail Bosses have gradually made some changes. We branched out
to include other trails in the area, we sped up the pace of the rides,
and increased the length (time and distance) of the rides. We have tried
to accommodate many different kinds of horses and riders... Quarter horses,
gaited horses, endurance riders, etc. We have become a very diverse group
and we like it that way!
We usually have a rainy season in the spring. Many of our trails are in low-lying areas.
Our alternate place to ride will generally be the Grasslands, because
the terrain and soil allow for quick drainage. It really is important
to call before you load them up! Bring your Coggins papers and "call before
you haul".
